Rights, GEMA / PRO, and streaming distinction
Is Spotify, Apple Music, or a private playlist enough for my event?
For public or commercial events, a normal streaming subscription is usually not a sufficient usage basis. Audiocrowd is the licensed path for that, with documented invoice and license.
Do I need a music license for my event?
Public performance generally requires clear licensing. The right model depends on event type, duration, attendees, and usage. For typical cases such as music for events or music for trade fairs you can also use the matching new use-case entry pages.
Is royalty-free music really royalty-free?
At Audiocrowd, royalty-free music means no additional PRO filing via Audiocrowd is required for the covered uses of these titles. The exact scope still depends on the selected package or playlist license.
Do I need to register my event additionally?
With Audiocrowd royalty-free titles, no additional filing via Audiocrowd is typically required. If you include PRO music, filing and handling remain on the organizer side.
What is the difference compared to Spotify or streaming services?
Streaming subscriptions are usually not licensed for compliant public or commercial playback. Audiocrowd provides explicit event licenses, invoices, and license documents for these use cases.
What is the difference between royalty-free and PRO catalog?
Royalty-free is usually the simplest self-service route without additional filing via Audiocrowd. With the PRO catalog, required filing stays with the organizer. Before payment, we also explicitly point out that PRO music may cause additional external costs.
May I record or stream my event?
Recording or streaming may require additional rights. Mark this usage in the navigator so the recommendation includes extended requirements.
May I simply reuse the music for additional events after this event?
Not automatically. Scope depends on the booked event and the chosen license. Separate additional events usually require their own license or a renewed review.
What happens after selection and payment
How fast do I receive the files?
Individual tracks are available immediately after payment. Playlist ZIPs are generated in the background and are typically ready within minutes.
Do I get an invoice for accounting?
Yes. Invoices, license documents, and for events also tracklists remain available in your customer account.
Can I build my own playlist?
Yes. You can use a curated pack as a starting point, add or remove tracks manually, and fine-tune your playlist in the pick-tracks step.
Can I use auto-fill and still reject individual tracks?
Yes. Auto-fill completes missing minutes automatically. In the pick-tracks step, you can reject suggested or already added auto-fill tracks for that playlist and replace them with other suitable titles if needed.
Changes to event details and special event cases
May I use the music multiple times?
Usage scope depends on the booked license package and the specified event. If you want to use the same music for another separate event, you usually need a separate license.
What happens when date, location, or attendee count changes?
If key details change, the license should be reviewed and adjusted if needed. This ensures coverage and pricing still match the actual event.
When do I need an individual quote for my event?
Mostly for very large audiences, long runtimes, unusually large music needs, or special rights. Typical single events and many multi-day events can usually stay in self-service.
What about recurring courses or event series?
A small number of repeats or multiple locations of the same event can be covered in the current event flow via the event count. For ongoing courses and recurring series, we are planning a dedicated product area outside the event funnel.
