About me

Michael Jaspers develops and produces electronic and ambient sounds under the name "Shampala", which have now been released on 4 albums, inviting the listener on an ongoing musical journey, with ever new ideas reflected on the recordings. As one of the co-founders of the band "Shamall" in the 80's, an unmistakable musical character has been formed over the years, which is continuously evolving in its style, which makes up the sound of "Shampala" to this day. The album "Underground", which was released in 2015 after 4 years, took the listener on a musical journey from the beginnings until today and convinces with the diversity of the multi-faceted melodies, which continues in its history with "My dream" and also reflects with newly recorded versions from the old Shamall times.
